Born in Australia and raised on an isolated sheep property in Western Queensland, Rosemary Penfold has a strong affinity with the landscape of her upbringing. She has studied in several fields bringing a fresh innovative approach to her large scale textile works. Her acclaimed solo exhibitions are based on the large vast landscape of Australia. These works emphasize her abilities in strong use of colour and subtlety of texture.
