Helen Sanderson - Artist
Helen began her working life teaching art, and continues to do that occasionally. Helen has experienced a significant amount of overseas travel in recent years, and much exposure to art being created around the world. Recently she has enjoyed working as an independent curator, working within the state funded system and commercial galleries. The previous show which she co curated, Lost and Found was a successful international exchange exhibition that was shown in both Hong Kong and Australia. The current show In Your Dreams, will be shown in Canada, Germany and Australia. Her work often references her upbringing in rural Australia, and has a strong landscape and storytelling bias. Helen
Sanderson exhibits regularly in Brisbane with various commercial galleries. She
has had three solo shows tour regional Queensland. Her work has been
selected in many group shows nationally and internationally. She has work
experience within the gallery and touring exhibitions area.
