Caitlin Sheedy - ArtistCaitlin Sheedy graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, First Class Honours, from Griffith University, Queensland College of Art. Caitlin majored in printmaking –and continues to produce works that incorporate etching, relief printing, screen-printing, collage, drawing and watercolour. She has exhibited and produced a body of work which reveals the narrative characteristic of art, producing a variety of artist books and works on paper which explore un-conventional methods of presentation (showing a relationship between meaning and structure in book) and the role of the artist as observer. Caitlin has exhibited in a number of solo and group shows in Brisbane, and her work is represented via acquisitive Art Competitions and by commission in the :
She was the recipient of the 2002 Win Schubert Graduate Prize for Fine Art and the Karl and Gertrude Langer Memorial Prize for the highest graduating student in Printmaking Department at QCA, Griffith University. Caitlyn won the 2006 emerging artist award winner at the Libris Awards at the Australian Artists Book Conference in Mackay, with her work entitled A Travellers' Journal.
