Fay Jelly - Artist
Her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Canadian locations such as Winnipeg, Manitoba, Kitchener, Ontario and Estevan, Saskatchewan. Her most recent solo show was in January 2004 at the Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba in Brandon, Manitoba. She is presently a board member of Mentoring Artists for Women’s Art. She is a member of the Coterie of Malcontents, an active group of artists working to further the artist-run concept in the southwest region of Manitoba. She takes an active role in encouraging the artistic development of other women artists in her region and recently participated as a mentor in a group project which involved the mentoring of 9 rural artists. She has received many individual and group awards from the Manitoba Arts Council as well as the Madeline Perry Memorial Scholarship (1996). She lives in Souris, Manitoba, Canada and works from her studio there. Back to Top |
