Artists StatementThe work inspired for In Your Dreams literally came from a dream that I had. In the dream I was walking down a deserted street at night and I decided to enter an unfamiliar and very plain looking house. When I entered the house the rooms were empty but I could hear voices coming from up stairs and a red glowing light was filling the stairwell. I remembered feeling very scared and then I woke up. The dream began quiet and peaceful and turned into a nightmare. When I decided to make the sculpture about it, I wanted there to be an unexpected twist on the dream and so I put the nightmare on the outside and the playful sorority house on the inside.
