Artists Statement

Important for this work is the German poem of Johann Gottfried Herder (1744 1805 ):

Ein Traum, ein Traum ist unser Leben

I will try to translate it in English:

a dream, a dream is our life here on earth

like shadows on the clouds

we will glide and disappear

and measure our lazy steps

in space and time

and are (and didnt know) in midst of eternity

What can be said about life, can be said about dreams. They are fugitive, transitory, flighty, passing, imperfect, unfinished, fragmentary, surprising, terrifying and mysterious.

The 24 parts of the work are a collection and a combination of photos (damaged hose) and the hose themselves or part of them. The damaged hose have graphical pattern made by accident. The accident made a nice picture; it is a good creator. You have to watch it and always be alert.
