Hildegard Koldin - Artist
It
is all about passion.
I paint when I am passionate about something, and mostly
it is related to nature.
The main source of my inspiration is nature with its
growth and transiency. Therefore I do a lot of drafts outside where I can inhale
the environment with all senses.
When travelling I collect several remains of nature that
are characteristic for the particular environment: abiotic parts like volcanic
sands, and also the “artefacts” of living nature, different plant fibres, roots,
leaves, pieces of bark.
These finds are often integrated into my work, and
sometimes turn it into a relief that reflects the original environment in a more
than two dimensional manner. The collage not only reflects but contains parts of
the original landscape.
An important part of my work is to paint with children
(healthy and disabled) and stimulate them to express their personality.
