In Your Dreams was selected to be one of the 70 venues open on the Lange Nacht der Museen/Long Night of the Museums in Munich on the 20th October 2007.  40,000 people spent a busy time between 7pm and 2am seeing as many venues as they could manage.  To assist, the city of Munich provided transport around to all the venues, covered in the €15 Long Night entry ticket.

We were profoundly amazed by all the people crowding into all the venues showing enormous interest and excitement at the event. The artists spoke at the Amerika Haus during the evening, and took time to enjoy the other venues, and experience what a Long Night meant.  At midnight, many helium balloons were released with the dreams of the artists written onto colourful tags tied onto the balloons, and the dreams of the some of the visitors who wrote their dreams down too.

Early that morning snow had fallen in Munich, but it had gone by that evening.  However, it was still very cold.

Just prior to the start of the Lange Nacht der Museen/Long Night of the Museums, a Sponsors and Artists dinner was held at Bruno’s, and Italian restaurant in Munich. Present were representatives of the many sponsors who have supported the In Your Dreams exhibition in Munich.

Artists who attended were Karen Cornelius & Shirley Brown from Canada, Helen Sanderson from Australia, Lene Rose Gruner, Sibylle Burr, Gerlinda Stingl and Hildegard Koldin from Germany.  Also present was the Vice Consul of the Canadian consulate in Munich Ms Christina Bilyk and Mrs Frieda Saleh.  Mr Berger, representing Psion Teklogix was also in attendance. Antonia Heigl, the director of Amerika Haus, Dr Vera Christoph who managed the IYD project in Munich, and Dr Sylvia Jacob who was responsible for fundraising for the IYD project also attended.
